Hi, I'm KeriLynn Engel—call me Keri—and this is my home on the interwebs. You can check out some of my websites and other projects below.
A bit about me: I'm currently transitioning to a new career in the non-profit sector thanks to Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program. From Sept 2013-June 2014 I'm assigned to Hartford 2000 as their Neighborhood Outreach Coordinator, helping to build a more inclusive communications network and broaden outreach for their events.
Since October 2011 I've been writing about women's history at my blog AmazingWomenInHistory.com, and have served as Women's History Category Expert Writer for Answers.com since July 2013. I'm working on developing my freelance writing portfolio and am open to new writing opportunities.
I am also on the Board of Directors for Meriden-Wallingford Chrysalis, which provides services for those affected by domestic violence, and am serving as chair of their new re-branding committee.
After the Public Allies program ends in June 2014, I'll be seeking a position in the non-profit sector. I'm interested in marketing and communications. I love social media, blogging, & website management, organizing & administrative work, and everything about computers and technology. I work very well independently and in teams, and I'm always eager to learn new skills. I'd also be open to relocating within the US.
You should totally also subscribe to the Amazing Women in History Newsletter if you like history, women, amazing things, and/or free book giveaways:
